Wireless Works Enables Manufacturer To Deliver
for Network Operator
|
Challenge:
With only five days’ notice, a Manufacturer asked
Wireless Works for a 1,000 unit-per-week repair capacity, ramping
up to 2,000 units per week. Each unit required component level
repair and refurbishment back to original specifications. In addition,
the client needed 48-hour turnaround, shipping back 200 units per
day, with detailed reporting.
Solution:
Wireless Works provided 1,500 unit-per-week capacity to
accommodate dramatic growth anticipated from a promotional campaign
run by the Manufacturer’s customer, a Network Operator. Repairs
were accomplished ahead of schedule and repair return rates are
lower than any previously experienced by the Manufacturer.
|
Result:
Manufacturer was able to meet demand from the Network
Operator without putting undue strain on the vendor’s existing
repair network. Wireless Works is negotiating more projects as
a result of this success.

Network Operator Realizes Sales Gains
Due To
Nimble Response from Wireless Works
|
Challenge:
While launching a major new prepaid service, a Network
Operator asked Wireless Works to provide 1,000 units per week of
the top-five selling models. This required procurement of used handsets
and parts, as well as doubling of production capacity at one of
Wireless Works’ repair
facilities.
Solution:
Wireless Works produced 1,500 units per week of the
selected models to meet the demand generated by the Network Operator’s
marketing campaign. In addition, Wireless Works mobilized its sales
team to work directly with the Network Operator’s regional
markets and B2B groups in receiving orders from retail stores and
indirect (agent) stores.
|
Result:
Network Operator was able to exceed its sales goals
for the prepaid program and is developing a larger program.

|
Challenge:
Over the past five years, a Retailer experienced rapid
growth, exceeding the capabilities of its operations and warehouse
infrastructure.

and developed a customized solution to enhance sales of postpaid
and prepaid services. The solution consists of distribution of
new and refurbished handsets with drop-ship order fulfillment to
retail stores, warranty repair service and an asset recovery program
to buy back all obsolete and salvage equipment.
|
Result:
The Retailer doubled sales of prepaid service and
boosted gross margins across postpaid and prepaid services. The
company also outsourced its warehouse and associated functions
with a multi-year contract to Wireless Works. The Retailer saved
$25,000 per month in operating expenses and eliminated inventory
carrying costs of $25,000 per month.
